Beth Abraham, M.D., is a board-certified pediatrician who received her medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita, in 2004. She completed her residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center/LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis in 2007, and served as Chief Resident during 2007 and 2008. Most recently she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Tennessee. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Maria Reyes is the Healthy Steps Specialist, providing developmental screenings for children ages 0 to 3. Ms. Reyes also provides parent information and education to help their children develop language skills and reach age-appropriate milestones. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from the Technical Institute of Aguascalientes (Mexic0) and an A.A.S. degree in Child Growth and Development from Penn Valley College. She is a Certified Bilingual Parent Educator for Parents as Teachers. Prior to coming to Turner House in 2009, she was a Family Support Worker and Parent Educator for the Kansas City Missouri School District and Early Head Start of Shawnee Mission, and a Child Development Specialist volunteer with Heart of America Family Services.
